Job's Tears (Coix lacryma-jobi), Coixseed, adlay, or adlai, is a tall grain-bearing tropical plant of the family Poaceae (grass family) native to East Asia and peninsular Malaysia but elsewhere cultivated in gardens as an annual. It has been naturalized in the southern United States and the New World tropics. In it's native environment it's grown in higher areas where rive & corn don't grow well.
Function:
1). Its active component coixenolide is a sedative, analgesic and antipyretic.
2). Its oily component can inhibit the contraction of striated muscles.
3). Inhibiting the Erlich ascitic cancer in mice and prolonging the life in experimental animals.
Application:
